Wow, It's been awhile

Lisa's working and preparing for her Gmat for Fall 2010. She's looking at Weber St to do her MBA because they have an MBA program for those who didn't receive an undergrad business degree. Her work will cover 90% of it, so wish her luck on that.

I'm still chugging along balancing work and school full time. I could possibly graduate in Fall 2010 depending on my load over the summer. I'd like to finish asap, but we'll see if I go till Spring 2010.

Life is good, and time is flying by. We still hate the cold and are counting down the days of winter anxiously.

Back to school

Wow, it's been awhile. Here's a brief update on the going-ons since the last post. School starts for me next week, and I still need to buy my books. I get to pay an additional $68 PER CREDIT hour for being in the business program. Why the U singled out the business program for this fee is beyond me. With books I'm looking at $4500 a semester, compaired to Lisa's $25oo a semester last yr. Such crap!

Lisa has a new job as a manager at Discover Card. She'll be working with money market and IRA accounts for her department. The main reason for the move is that they'll pay 90% of her masters, which will be nice. She's looking to get either an MBA or a Masters in a business related field. It should couple nicely with her Urban Planning degree since cities and states like to see you have a business background on top of Planning. She's excited for the position and getting back into school (she actually enjoys school).

Passed out a lot of fliers, and painted a lot of numbers this summer. Our link is listed on the blog if you want to see us in action. Still working nights at home for 1800 Contacts. I get to watch a lot of movies during my shift.

Not as much play as we would have liked, but we still had some good times fishing, vacationing, going to Lagoon, and hanging with friends. We have a trip planned this weekend as the last Hooraw for summer.

I'll have to work on getting some pics posted.

Finally Graduated!

Oh the Places You'll go....

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go.

You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.

I'm sorry to say so
But, sadly it's true
That bang-ups and hang-ups
Can happen to you.

On an on you will hike, And I know you’ll hike far
and face up to your problems whatever they are.

You’ll get mixed up of course, as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go.

So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
And remember that Life’s a great balancing act.

Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.

Will you succeed?
Yes you will indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)

I'm finally a college grad! Many of you have asked...well now what? I had an interview with Salt Lake City on Monday and now have an internship with the Sustainability Department. I'm excited to move on and hopefully start a career in the near future. If not, I'll just continue my days of sleeping in, blogging, making jewelery, playing with Bryce and whatever else makes me happy.

Honestly, two and a half years ago I never really thought I would end up graduating because I put college on hold. Its hard to go back, but its worth it, even if your professors are the most liberal Hippy people in the world:) Thanks to everyone that has supported me through this journey, especially you Bryce. I love you sweety!

And a thought from David McCullough:

"Remember that common sense is by no means common."
